It will be Christmas in October at the Annual Friends of the Aina Haina Public Library book sale. This year the two-day sale will be held on October 28 and 29 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Aina Haina Public Library located at 5246 Kalanianaole Hwy in the Aina Haina Shopping Center.
The front of the library will feature specially priced items such as Hawaiiana, gift-quality books, collectibles, and DVDs. Further down you will find a tent full of CDs and videotapes. The main venue for the sale is in the meeting room around the corner where a huge selection of adult and children’s books can be found at very affordable prices.
After the sale ends at 3:00 pm on Saturday, October 29, the doors will re-open from 3:10 to 3:45 for the ever popular “$5.00 fill-it-to-the-top” bag sale in the meeting room.
Come early for best selection and to get a head start on your Christmas shopping. All proceeds from the sale will benefit the Aina Haina Public Library to fund the programs and services it provides to the community. The Rotary Club of East Honolulu, Chaminade Rotoract and Kalani Interact clubs, long-time advocates of literacy, will be there to support the Friends with added manpower to help the sale run smoothly.
